Kurt Cobain was an American musician best known as the frontman for the band Nirvana. His music is credited with starting the grunge rock trend popular in the early 1990’s. His death in 1994 by a self-inflicted gunshot wound continues to be a topic of debate. He was diagnosed with attention deficit disorder as a child, and suffered from bipolar disorder as an adult. His struggles with heroin addiction are well-documented, and his family history included several suicides, mental illness, and alcoholism. If Kurt Cobain was autistic, he also suffered from other disorders as well.
