Is autism considered a Learning Disability?

Autism is not considered as a learning disability. A learning disability indicates that a person has average to high intelligence and has a significant struggle with reading, writing and/or math (these are the main areas). The IQ range for autism goes from low intelligence to gifted. Both autism and learning disabilities are impacted by what is happening in the brain.
