Leo Blair is the son of Tony Blair, former Prime Minister of England. He was drawn into a public debate over the safety of vaccines when supporters of Dr. Andrew Wakefield questioned whether he had received the MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine. Wakefield is accused of fueling a public health crisis when his theory that the MMR vaccine causes autism led many families to refuse the shot, ultimately leading to measles outbreaks around the world. The controversy was further fueled when Prime Minister Tony Blair refused to confirm whether or not Leo had been given the MMR shot. There is no evidence that Leo Blair is autistic.
